May 2019

This school year has truly flown by… What an exciting year full of new experiences and memorable moments!  All students have shown tremendous growth through valuable lessons, teamwork, and creative thinking. Their thoughtfulness and curiosity have contributed to a positive learning atmosphere and a great environment to nurture friendships. It has been a great pleasure working with them.

It was a memorable and joyful moment to see all of our children work together with their parents, sing together, and share their dreams with all of us during Parent’s Night. We would like to express many thanks to all of our Little Crane families. Your cooperation and support have made our Parent’s Night very special!

This month, we learned about the “human body.” We began our lesson by looking at the skeleton, and then we continued learning about one of our most important organs, the heart. We learned about the heart’s main functions, about blood, about our veins, and about our pulse. We also had an interactive lesson where we looked at our eyes in the mirror, and at our friends’ and teachers’ eyes and guessed what we think the color of each person’s irises are! We reviewed details about the eyes, as well as the ears, the nose, the tongue, and our skin!

In Language many young readers have been excited to take on the challenge of reading new books and create their own picture stories.  We have been encouraging them to build comprehension and creative writing skills in addition to reading the stories.

We extend many thanks to the Little Crane families for their support and encouragement throughout this successful school year.

Wishing you a safe and wonderful summer!
